Announcing our 2023 art, video, and creative writing contest! 

Michiana educators, here are the dates you'll want to keep in mind for your Spring 2023 curriculum planning:

• Submission period opens: early February, 2023

• Submissions due: Friday, March 17, 2023 Extended to Friday, March 24.

• Exhibition and Awards Ceremony NEW DATE: Thursday, April 27, 2023, 5:00 p.m.

What is The People Next Door?

The People Next Door contest is an opportunity for students in grades 9-12 to hear the stories of South Bend’s own Holocaust survivors, then creatively respond to their experiences in an original work of art, video, or creative writing.

Cash Prizes 

Over $2400 will be awarded to first, second, and third place entries in each category.
